From the prestigious Black Kings Gala to the vibrant Juneteenth Festival, and the thought-provoking Virtual Summit, this year’s celebration is a powerful tribute to freedom and the communities who continue to shape history.
Black Kings Gala
A prestigious evening celebrating the achievements and leadership of Black men who make an impact across business, education, advocacy, and the arts. The event brought together influential leaders, honorees, and supporters in a night of excellence.

The centerpiece of Juneteenth NYC, this high-energy, family-friendly festival welcomed thousands of attendees. From cultural performances and youth activities to community resources and Black-owned vendors, the day showcased unity and resilience.

Behind the powerful storytelling and national visibility of Juneteenth NYC 2025 stands the leadership of Debra Dixon-Anderson, PR Manager of Juneteenth NYC and CEO of Light of Gold PR.
While Light of Gold PR was not directly involved, Debra brought her strategic public relations expertise to Juneteenth NYC, managing critical media relations, press outreach, and brand messaging for this landmark celebration.
As PR Manager, Debra:
- Led outreach to All Media and helped to manage PIX 11 and CBS New York’s On-Site coverage
- Coordinated media interviews and press releases
- Managed government, vendors, and VIP guest and Coordinated Scheduling Interviews for Vendors, Community Organizations and Elected Officials
- Supported the overall storytelling of Juneteenth NYC’s mission for Press Release
- Oversaw logistics for onsite interviews
